নরেন্দ্র মোদী বলছেন, "গোটা বিশ্বে প্যারিস অলিম্পিক এই সময়ে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে। আমাদের খেলোয়াড়রা বিশ্বের দরবারে আমাদের ত্রিবর্ণরঞ্জিত পতাকাকে তুলে ধরার সুযোগ পেয়েছেন, তাঁরা দেশের জন্য কিছু করার সুযোগ পেয়েছেন। আপনাদের সবার উচিত তাদের উৎসাহিত করা।”
