তিনি বলেছেন, "আসামের অরাজকতা যেখানে এই ঘটনাটি ঘন্টা দুয়েক আগে ঘটেছিল। এখন পর্যন্ত কাউকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়নি। আসামের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মা বিষয়টিকে হালকাভাবে নিচ্ছেন। আপনি ভিজ্যুয়াল দেখেছেন যে কীভাবে এই দুষ্কৃতীদের মধ্যে কয়েকজন একজন পুলিশ অফিসারের সাথে কুস্তি করছিল এবং একটি ব্যস্ত বাজারে মধ্য দুপুরে তার বন্দুক ছিনিয়ে নেওয়ার চেষ্টা করছিল। ভাবতে পারেন, সেই মেশিনগান ছিনিয়ে নিয়ে ট্রিগারে আঙুল দিতে পারলে আজ কী বিপর্যয় ঘটত? আর এত কিছুর পরও মুখ্যমন্ত্রী হাসছেন। মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মনে করেন এটা একটা তামাশা। তিনি আসামের জনগণকে কী বার্তা দিচ্ছেন?"
