তিনি বলেছেন, "উত্তরপ্রদেশের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী শোক প্রকাশ করেননি। দেশের রাষ্ট্রপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শোক প্রকাশ করলে ১৭ ঘণ্টা পর (রাজ্য) সরকার তা গ্রহণ করে। এরা এমন লোক যারা আজও সত্যকে মেনে নিতে পারে না।"
